It has been years since this beautiful historical building has had the putty glazed windows refurbished
The windows are removed, where feasible so that all the old glazing and failing paint can be fully removed
Using Festool sanders and HEPA Vacuums, the Peek Brothers Painting team is taking the paint down to sound and smooth
Putty is being replaced with fresh SARCO putty shipped in from Chicago. This putty is as smooth as butter and makes the exterior look like new!
The windows are being fully primed and painted inside and out using a hybrid oil/urethane enamel from Sherwin Williams that has the touch and feel of the good, old, slick, buttery smooth, enamel with the additional benefit of the durability of today’s formulations
Many locals love this building as it is where many of us have been to weddings and receptions and other family gatherings! My mother Ellen Peek was on the Board of Directors years ago and my sister Virginia Elizabeth “Wig” was married here!
Vintage Wood Windows, a local window restoration company is making sure that all the windows are operating properly and then turn them over to us to refinish.
