Refinishing Natural Wood Shingle Siding
- This cedar siding had been re-oiled so many times, it had lost its bright, clean, original look
- We removed all the old oils using a biodegradeable stripper followed by waterblasting
- To protect the environment all waterblast water was kept out of the gutter/stormdrain and kept on the property
- The next step was to apply wood brightener, an oxalic acid based wood bleach to bring back the original bright cedar look
- We then applied TWP transluscent “California Redwood” lightly tinted penetrating oil to refusal
- The owner was tickled pink over the results the house looked brand new again
